COMMITTEE REPORTS: Repeaters, Antennas, Event Communications, Emergency Planning

Jerry Wilson reported on the Emergency Planning Committee:  There is $1500 in So. Humboldt Working together.  Jack is purchasing equipment from the list compiled by the HAM committee to set up the HAM station at CDF. Jack has installed one of the two radios in the hospital. There was a discussion regarding getting more SHARC members and HAM operators, especially in the outlying districts.   Discussion on radios in school buses, apparently Humboldt Co. has them but Mendocino does not and those drivers have no way of communicating if they get stuck. Suggested interested persons contact OES for possible Homeland Security Grant funds.
