January Meeting Minutes read & adopted.
 
Treasurer's Report:
     Checking Acct Balance approximate $940.00
     ( after February utility bills paid )
 
     43 Paid Club Members so far for 2008
 
Committee Report & Old Business:
     Repeaters:     Far West 146.61 MHz link to 146.76 MHz repaired 
                              .... water damaged pinktail coax connector at Pratt Mtn
 
                              Shelter Cove site UHF link radio to 146.79 MHz ready to install.
                              Target install next Saturday (3-1-08) in the outside cabinet.
 
                              CalFire station site has antenna tilted over.  Gary k6jxm could help.
    
     Old Business:  Shelter Cove Technician License Class has 2 more meetings.
                                 Next Sat is final instructions & sample practice exam questions from eham.net documents,
                                 and the following Sat meeting (3-8-08) is the actual exam.       16 students attending.
 
New Business:
    Current Redwood Times article about OES & HAM radio in SoHum.
 
    April Disaster drill exercise during OES meeting....
     ..... need volunteers for this training .... pencil in Jerry kf6ibp 
 
   Red Cross presentation "Living On the Fault Line"  coming.
   3 hours on a Saturday AM in Garberville .
 
   80m dipole antenna at CalFire needs an antenna tuner
     & its physical length shorter for "matching"
 
   Kenwood Commercial mobile radio at Jack's shop.
   Possible command post equipment.
 
   Possible HAM class for the Miranda school transportation dept. in the future.
 
 Open Forum:
     Lamar's  AE6LJ UHF simplex testing with club members has moved to 446.000 MHz
 
    10m band was useable this week.     Technician Class may use part of the 10m spectrum now.
